Counting the sheep can help your sleep

Counting the sheep is an old mental exercise used in many cultures as a means of making oneself to sleep. It is a mental action of repetition. There are people who say it does not work for them. It is mainly because they do not follow it sincerely. They may be distracted in their counting by other thoughts and carried away from their effort of counting.

You may have a mental picture before you and try to count the sheep of your imagination, one by one. The main purpose of doing this mental practice is to induce boredom while occupying the mind with counting or doing something simple, repetitive, and rhythmic. Surrender everything to Him and pray for you, and for others. Your prayer should not make you more envious, more proud or angrier towards anything or anyone.

This is a great discussion on the important issue of insomnia. Lack of sleep is a known cause of various conditions, as it weakens the natural resistance and immunity mechanisms of the body. I would like to add that, insomnia can be a major cause of anti-social behavior, which is another case that highlights even more the significance of this health issue.

Lol! I seriously like the title...! calling the shepherd rather than counting the sheep seems an aweomes idea. In my case, I have some natural insomnia cures that I trust to give me a better sleep at night.
